A simple granola that’s sweet, salty, and healthy that will make your house smell amazing!

Need a quick granola with health benefits? Check out this Olive oil maple granola with high-quality extra-virgin olive oil (EVOO), old-fashioned oats, cinnamon, and almonds. It’s the perfect snack for breakfast, a topping for yogurt, or just a delightful treat on its own! But be careful, this granola is ADDICTING! You will definitely find yourself reaching for more!

Who knew that olive oil would be so delicious in granola? Sometimes, it’s the things that you least expect that make the biggest impact. That’s what olive oil brings to the plate. Besides being delicious, extra-virgin olive oil is packed with healthy fats and nutrients. It has shown to reduce inflammation, lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart disease. Talk about a heart-healthy snack!
So then I thought, why not put two heart-healthy foods together?! Introducing an Olive Oil Maple Granola that’s packed with nutrients, tastes delicious and comes together in under 45 minutes! Sounds like a plan to me!

Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 30 minutes
Total time: 35 minutes
Serving size: Makes 8 (1/3 cup) servings
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Cover a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicon mat.
2. In a large bowl, combine oats, almonds, cinnamon, and sea salt.
3. In a small bowl, combine olive oil and maple syrup.
4. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir.

5. Spread mixture onto a large cookie sheet.
6. Place in oven and bake for 15 minutes.
7. Stir mixture, then bake for another 15 minutes, until oats are golden brown.
8. Remove granola from oven and let cool on pan to allow granola to harden and create clusters. Once hardened, remove from pan and store in an airtight container. It can last for weeks- if it lasts that long!

Customizations:
Chocolate lover? Stir in some dark chocolate chips after it cools for a rich chocolatey flavor.
Don’t like/have almonds? Add chopped pecans or any other type of nut you have on hand.
Nut free? Omit the nuts altogether and add puffed rice, unsweetened coconut flakes, or seeds for that extra crunch and nutrients. Prefer fruit in your granola? Add dried fruit after baking for more a more diverse flavor.
